16th Annual Street Furniture Competition

MADE's 16th Annual Street Furniture Competition will be held on Saturday, June 24th, 2017 at Churchill Square, during The Works. Teams of 2-4 are given 6 hours of building time, during which they compete to design and build a piece of furniture from the materials provided. A panel of local architects and designers will judge the final pieces, and award prizes. Space is limited, so register now!

More Details:

  • The event runs from 10:00am to 7:00pm
  • For the full competition, please review our Rules & Regulations (pdf).
  • All teams must bring a signed copy of the Waiver Liability Form (pdf) on the day of the competition.
  • The Registration fee is $20 per team

This year's theme is dialogue. According to the Project for Public Spaces:

“ More than ever before, public artworks are stimulating and inviting active dialogue rather than just passive observation, thereby fostering social interaction that can even lead to a sense of social cohesion among the viewers themselves.”
